A Home For Teasel Book Review
I think you should read this book because it is awesome if you love horses. It is also adventurous.
This is my continent work that the year 6's had to do while the year 7's were at Tech. We did this for 3 days (Each Friday) This was hard because we had lots of slides and a lot of information to put on it. I enjoyed doing this because we got to learn about continents and we get to learn from others.

Word Of The Week
Today we had to do word of the week, this week's work is Precocious. First, we had to fill out the sheet below & post it to our blog. When we finished spelling I still needed to post it so I am doing it now. I enjoyed doing this because I like to learn new words. It was challenging to find a picture because it mostly came up with photos that I couldn't use so I used a flower instead.

Water Wastage
Hi, my name is Yazmin and I am going to talk about water, its wastage, and how important it is to us to stop it. Is every drop of water important?
Yes, turning on a tap and pouring yourself a glass of water is one of the simplest things in the world you could do! We rely on water for everyday needs like get a glass of water, have a shower or a bath. Can you imagine water not being here? What do you think we would have to drink? In a lot of places on earth, there are water shortages like when the Christchurch earthquake happened, most people had to line up for water for their everyday needs! People need to know that water is a really precious thing, and we need to be careful that we don’t turn it to waste. Do you ever leave some water in a plastic bottle? If you do and don’t drink it you should pour it down the sink so it goes to lakes and rivers then reuse it. In New Zealand our water problems have only started, the problems here are water pollution and our water supply.
What are the problems in the world?
In the world there are a lot of problems, Because of the water cycle, the water on earth will never change! But the water is changing! We use more water now than we did in the past and one of the main reasons for this is farmers. When the cow does a dropping and there is fertilizer in the ground the rain washes it into the streams and it is now polluting the water! What would you do without farmers to grow crops? How would you deal with this? Council workers have to test the water to make sure that it is safe to drink. Not all our problems are from farms, water pollution is also happening from towns, and cities. This water is now back in the water cycle, but very little use to us! Why is this water back into the water cycle?
What is an endless cycle?
We get our water from the lakes, rivers, streams, creeks, rain, and the sea! Groundwater is also an important part of the water cycle even though we never see it or know it’s there! All of the world is part of the same cycle, this cycle we are in is millions of years old. But when do we get new water? Never, we never get new water because it is all one cycle! When you brushed your teeth this morning you might be dinosaur pee! Our planet ( Earth ) has always had the same amount of water it has now which is used and reused many times. The water cycle! The sun, which drives the water cycle, heats water in the oceans, rivers, and lakes 2. Some of this water rises and turners into vapor and becomes the water droplets in the clouds 3. Eventually, colder temperatures force the clouds to lose their moisture as rain, hail, or snow 4. Some of this flows into rivers, lakes, and finally the ocean. Some of it stays frozen as snow or ice for thousands of years. The rest of the water soaks up deep in the earth, where it becomes part of the groundwater supply.
In conclusion, I think helping our water, and stop polluting will be a great start to fix our waters. You could also have shorter showers to not waste any water. Learning about the water cycle is a great idea and will help us in the future!

Orographic Rain
WALT: make a slide on orographic rain. First, we had to make a slide show and polyline the blue sea and the brown mountain. then we had to use shapes to make the arrows, the cloud, the sun, and the raindrops. I enjoyed making this because we had to use a video to see what it was and it is Science.

Fiji time Poem
Fiji Time
I am books, Opening at nightI am " You sooks, " Making others do stuff
I am Coconuts, We like to drink
I am " Whatever, " When I don't like things
I am trees, people climbing me
I am " I don't care, " When I don't want to do things
I am a hangi, Cooking food underground
I am " FINE, " When I collect crabs
I am money, To remember Fiji
I am " Go Go Go, " Yelling my crab on!
This is my Fiji poem. First, we had to make a 20 line poem then choose 10 top things in order and keep it in order, then we had to make another poem about it. I enjoyed it because I like making poems and I also get to share it on my blog. It was challenging because I didn't finish the 20 line poem on I only got up to 15. When I did this I thought it would be really hard but it was a little easier than I thought (The last one.) I really hope you enjoyed my poem!
